Course Content

Phase 1: ESTABLISHING FOUNDATIONS (Month 1-2)

Introduction and Grounding

  • Introduction to yoga philosophy, breathing exercises (Pranayama), and grounding poses (Tadasana, Balasana).
  • Deep dive into mindfulness techniques, exploring body awareness and cultivating present moment awareness.
  • Building Strength and Stability
  • Begin with foundational standing poses (Warrior series, Tree pose) to build physical and mental strength.
  • Incorporate balance-focused poses, core strengthening exercises (Plank, Boat pose) for stability.

Phase 2: RESILIENCE BUILDING (Month 3-4)

Embracing Flexibility and Adaptability

  • Introduce backbends (Cobra, Camel pose) and hip-opening poses (Pigeon pose) to encourage flexibility and openness.
  • Explore forward folds (Forward Bend, Child's pose) to release tension and cultivate adaptability.
  • Mind-Body Connection and Resilience
  • Connect breath with movement in dynamic flows (Vinyasa sequences) to enhance mind-body synchronization.
  • Focus on the breath as a tool for resilience - explore various Pranayama practices (Ujjayi, Kapalabhati).

Phase 3: DEEPENING RESILIENCE (Month 5-6)

Stress Management and Self-Care

  • Incorporate restorative poses (Supported Bridge, Legs-Up-The-Wall) to promote relaxation and stress relief.
  • Practice Yoga Nidra and meditation for deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
  • Integration and Empowerment
  • Combine all learned practices into a personalized routine, focusing on individual strengths.
  • Encourage journaling, self-reflection, and gratitude practices to enhance emotional resilience.
